Maura Cockey

Maura Cockey is the firm’s Director of Finance. She is responsible for the firm’s day-to-day accounting operations, managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparing financial statements, and overseeing the billing process from beginning to end.

Before joining Hassett & George, Maura spent 18 years at Susman, Duffy & Segaloff in New Haven, first as the Accounting Supervisor and then as the Legal Administrator.  Maura has a strong financial background, including experience preparing individual, estate and partnership tax returns, bank reconciliations, and financial statements, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.

Maura has served multiple terms as the President and Treasurer of the Nutmeg Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators. She is Past President of the Nutmeg Curling Club and a former member and Commissioner of the City of Milford Ethics Commission.
