Martin A. Clayman

Martin A. Clayman retired on December 31, 2022, after practicing law for more than 50 years. Marty began his career as a litigator and later transitioned his practice to focus on corporate and commercial real estate matters. Marty devoted a significant part of his practice to serving real estate developers, entrepreneurs, and a variety of business entities and not-for-profit organizations.

Much of his legal counsel and representation focused on complex financial and business transactions. Marty is well-known for this intricate knowledge of franchise law. He represented local, regional, and national franchisors and franchisees by evaluating and analyzing franchise opportunities, drafting franchise documents, ensuring compliance with state and federal law, and providing franchise litigation services.
