For more than a decade, Felicia Hunt has immersed herself in trial strategy and the ins and outs of the latest developments in Connecticut marital and family law. Though primarily a litigator, Felicia recognizes the value of attempting to reach agreements outside of court when possible and is a practical and accomplished mediator. To that end, she also represents clients in relation to prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements, and is a nuanced and committed collaborative divorce lawyer.

Due to the impact of covid-19, individuals are facing unprecedented challenges in meeting the educational, health and social needs of their children. Additionally, families are navigating the impact on employment and the economy, while considering serious changes in their lives. The court administration has developed revisions to its operation, including the inclusion of certain remote operations. Felicia is trained and experienced to finalize cases and bring families fully through their transitions, including the new court processes and in assisting with these new issues faced by families today.

Felicia’s time in Connecticut’s family, civil and criminal courthouses has provided a well-rounded experience she now draws upon when providing efficient and thoughtful advocacy for her clients. This includes her mediation and Collaborative Divorce cases as well, which have continued to be on the rise since the pandemic.

Felicia graduated, cum laude, from Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, with minors in both Spanish and Theology. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut. Felicia’s degree in Philosophy was born from a love of writing, which has since led to the opportunity to co-author several briefs to the Supreme and Appellate Courts of Connecticut, as well as various trial briefs for submission to the Connecticut Superior Court. She is licensed to practice before Connecticut’s federal and state courts.

Felicia regularly speaks on family law topics for a variety of organizations. She is actively involved in USA500, the Collaborative Divorce Group, the Connecticut Bar Association, and the Hartford County Bar Association. In addition, she has been appointed as a Family Matters Special Master. In this role, she facilitates mediations between parties in the hopes of settling out of court. She continues to contribute to her law school alma mater, UConn School of Law, by serving as a panelist for new law students interested in family law and as a part of the Husky Mentor Network.

In 2016, Felicia was named a “New Leader in the Law” in the Connecticut Law Tribune. She was also named a Super Lawyers Rising Star* in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
