For more than a decade, Felicia Hunt has immersed herself in trial strategy and the ins and outs of the latest developments in Connecticut marital and family law. Though primarily a litigator, Felicia recognizes the value of attempting to reach agreements outside of court when possible and is a practical and accomplished negotiator. To that end, she also represents clients in relation to prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements, and is a nuanced and committed collaborative divorce lawyer.
Felicia's time in Connecticut's family, civil and criminal courthouses has provided a well-rounded experience she now draws upon when providing efficient and thoughtful advocacy for her clients.
Felicia graduated, cum laude, from Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, with minors in both Spanish and Theology. She received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut. Felicia's degree in Philosophy was born from a love of writing, which has since led to the opportunity to co-author several briefs to the Supreme and Appellate Courts of Connecticut, as well as various trial briefs for submission to the Connecticut Superior Court. She is licensed to practice before Connecticut's federal and state courts.
Felicia has spoken on family law and lawyering for the Connecticut Bar Association. She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, the Hartford County Bar Association, and the Collaborative Divorce Group. In addition, she was appointed as a Family Matters Special Master. In this role, she facilitates mediations between parties in the hopes of settling out of court. She continues to contribute to her law school alma mater, UConn School of Law, by serving as a panelist for new law students interested in family law and as a part of the Husky Mentor Network. She has also explored the intersection between family and career as a contributing writer at Connecticut Working Moms.
In 2016, Felicia was named a "New Leader in the Law" in the Connecticut Law Tribune. She was also named a Super Lawyers Rising Star* in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
