Jeffrey O. McDonald
Jeffrey O. McDonald’s practice with Hassett & George is primarily concentrated in the defense of
tort liability claims, including motor vehicle, premise liability and construction claims, as well as the prosecution
of all personal injury matters. Mr. McDonald’s practice also includes commercial civil litigation and appellate work.
Mr. McDonald graduated from Saint Anselm College, cum laude, with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. At Saint Anselm College
he was a four year member of the golf team, a captain his senior year. In 2008 Mr. McDonald graduated, magna cum laude
from Quinnipiac University School of Law. At Quinnipiac Mr. McDonald was a member of the Quinnipiac Law Review, where he
served one year as a Case note editor, working closely with future Law Review candidates.
While at Quinnipiac, Mr. McDonald also participated in a judicial internship with Magistrate Garfinkel in Bridgeport
District Court. Before joining Hassett & George as an Associate in 2008, he spent one year as a law clerk with the firm.
Mr. McDonald was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 2008. He is also admitted to the United States District Court,
District of Connecticut. He has extensive experience at the State and Federal Court, and has argued successfully
before the Connecticut Appellate Court. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Trial
Lawyers Association.
